Before you report the damaged and overflowing bins
We are responsible for maintaining and emptying over 2000 litter bins across the borough.
Litter bins are emptied on a varied frequency depending on the location.
Town Centre Bins – Daily
Street Bins – up to 3 times per week
What you can do
Always use litter bins when you’re out and about and encourage children to use them. If you can’t find a litter bin, please take your rubbish home with you.
Do not use street litter bins to dispose of household waste, this is regarded as fly tipping, and you can be issued with a fixed penalty notice.
