Access For All Referral

The Access for All programme is designed to support individuals across our community who face barriers to digital inclusion. The programme aims to provide access to devices, connectivity and skills in one package.

Recipients will be provided with tailored support that empowers people to get online and stay connected.

How can a recipient benefit from the programme?

Local organisations or professionals can refer known adults into the programme.  It isn’t means-tested, but recipients must meet eligibility criteria to ensure support reaches those most in need.

Eligibility criteria

Recipients must be

  • A resident of the Wigan Borough
  • Over 18
  • In receipt of a low income
  • Have no access to a laptop device
  • AND have no access or insufficient access to the internet at home.

To monitor the impact and value the programme has had on individuals, we ask that recipients:

  • Complete a short online survey at both 6 weeks and 3 months following receipt of the device
  • Be willing to share stories of how the programme has impacted them.

Whilst not compulsory, any feedback will allow us to evaluate and improve the programme

Information for referrers

As a referrer, your role is vital in identifying individuals who would benefit from this support. You are often the first point of contact and best placed to recognise when someone is digitally excluded. By making a referral, you help us ensure that the right support reaches the right people at the right time.

Your part in the process includes:

  • Identifying need – Spotting individuals who are struggling with digital access and connectivity
  • Completing the referral form – Providing clear and accurate information and timely completion of pre support evaluation and waiver documents
  • Device collection and distribution – Timely collection and distribution of the devices to residents
  • Post support evaluation – Supporting residents in completing a 6 week and 3-month evaluation. Sharing information to support case studies, photographs (with consent) or success stories.

Together, we can make a real difference in bridging the digital divide and ensuring that no one is left behind.
