Your First Step into Care
By completing the form, it will be your first step in expressing your interest in care roles across Wigan Borough, either with Wigan Council or one of our trusted, ethical care providers.
Meet and Greet Sessions
You will get the option to choose a date and time to attend a meet and greet, where you will hear about the roles available and meet care teams from both the Council and our trusted care organisations with whom we work closely to deliver care in the borough.
Safer Recruitment and Safeguarding
Wigan Council and our ethical care providers are committed to safeguarding and follow Safer Recruitment guidelines. Any job role that is working with vulnerable adults or in close contact with children will be subject to Enhanced Disclosure Procedures plus Adult Barred List Check, and if appropriate the Child Barred List Check.
Right to Work in the UK
To be considered for this role, you must be able to demonstrate your right to work in the UK and maintain a valid and active work status throughout your employment.
